It's a very nice (but short) album that combines airy late-60s Europop with bleeping Moogs and scratchy samples'n'loops. Kind of "Switched-On Cardigans" or "Portishead Sign To Sarah". :) From which you could argue that it's similar to recent Stereolab, but I think Broadcast have done a better job toning down the sugarier aspects of the source material and adding interest in the form of really weird little breaks and bridges. (Plus, they have better hooks on songs like "The Book Lovers" than anything Stereolab's released since, say, "French Disko".)
