just got a copy of Volume 15 with the new cocteau twins song on it. all i
can say is that i was damned near in tears listening to this. i'm talking
about tears of joy. the song is definitely older style cocteau twins. wall
of guitars, beautiful vocals & melody, the whole bit. i hope the whole new
album doesn't sound like this, because it would be a giant musical leap
backwards, but i wouldn't mind a couple of tracks like this. go find
yourself a copy today and renew your faith...

yippee! got to bring home the new volume comp. from the radiostation
where i work today....

the cocteaux track on here is ultra-deluxe cool!  i love it!  if i had to
compare it with anything, i guess i'd say it's a lot like BBK....

"circling girl" starts with a quiet picking then quickly explodes into
song a la the 12" mix of "pearly dewdrops drops"....in fact, one of
robin's li'l tinkery melodies really makes me think of "PDD"....

simon's bass is ever subtle and wonderful, and it sounds like robin still
loves that sparkly strumming style for which he is so famous.

anyway this is a wonderful track....i'm even more excited for the album now.
