When I spoke to Vaughan the other week he said he didn't really like Lisa's
own work (think I posted something about that last week?), but that he
really liked Brendan's. I said that I had read on the Dead Can Dance web
site that 4AD had told Brendan that his album wasn't good enough for
release and that was why it had ben postponed/cancelled.

He didn't take this very well - it seems he (Vaughan) doesn't like the
Internet for various reasons (but that's another story I'll tell some other
time), and this just made himeven worse. Both he and Chris said that what
they had heard of Brendan's solo album was "nothing short of brilliant",
and that the reason why it hadn't been released was because it hadn't been
finished yet due to personal problems. He said everyone who had heard the
new songs were really taken by  them - so much so that they were
desperately trying to sort out the problems so that Brendan would go back
into the studio and finish off the album.

He couldn't say enough good stuff about the new songs, and added that it
would probably finally be out in the New Year.
