I still can't believe that I found it cause there are so many lil' projects coming out on tiny labels from our dear Mich'gan friends. Anyway, it's called "Brazil/Loin des Sambas" and apparently Warren spells "samba" as "d-u-b". The Brazil side is really really cool, well they both are, but I just like the Brazil side better. It's got Karin (I assume) singing some sweet little song that I can't make out just yet, however, the vocals are very mixed down and not the most prominent thing. It's more like attack of the killer bass! Don't worry, it's not like the bass in those Tortoise remixes, but it is like Stars on ESP only heavy on the low end. There aren't any lil' scratches or noise bursts, which I sort of miss, but on this project they wouldn't go. There's also some nice mellow organ floating around in there and there's a small organ solo-esque song at the end. I say organ solo-esque 'cause only one song is listed on the label. And there's also what sounds like warren saying a few sentences at the very tail end. I haven't played it backwards yet, but I'm sure it'll say something like "Free the space alien whales from butter cake inscense!!"... The Loin Des Sambas Side is more along the dub side of things. I think the very idea of Warren doing dub is enough for anyone to buy this baby. Granted, it is a bit more Marley-esque than the Brazil side but hey, it's whatever blows your skirt up, right? I got mine from 33 Degrees, Austin, Texas... 512.302.5233. I don't know if they're limited or what the deal is. the catalog number is FS 02. I think it's Ian Masters' label if I'm not mistaken. The packaging is rather plain, a brown 45 sleeve with a hole in the middle so one can see the actual labeling on the vinyl. The label is a lil' old timey with older graphics and fonts and a bizzare photo of someone in a fireman's (?) suit playing the guitar.
