Keeping in mind I think > Stars on ESP is their best album.......... There are 15 songs on the cd. There are about 10 songs that have real sweet old time HNIA vocals and the rest is noise-strumentals and wacky defever stuff. I am surprised that a few of them didn't make it on an album. The theme of the album seems to be 'Are you coming down this weekend?'. There are like two or three alternate versions of that song on KoS. Also, a different versions of 'Soul resides in the horse barn', and 'Why do people disappear'. It does have good production. I am happy with it. Sometimes the middle has a bit too much openness... All the instrumentals seem to be grouped in the middle. This cd is a lot better than some of the 7"s they have been releasing (drugs farm, melody farm, etc). There are a few songs on the cd that I would call essential... Real beautiful... I guess its up to you decide, I would get it now while it is still semi-cheap. In another few years it will be harder to find and cost more. Date: Wed, 22 Jul 1998 14:31:54 -0500 From: o_o_o Subject: Re: HNIA KoS Jesse's description is pretty good. I agree, and would further say that this CD is sometimes my favorite HNIA album. Recently there was a shop selling them for $30, and they posted to the list. I don't know if they still have any, seems unlikely. I bought a copy from them for a friend. It was the real deal. there were only 2,000 made, according to the numbering of the discs. Though I personally have seen four different copies, which seems a bit out of whack to me. Also, I thought at one time someone had mentioned it might be reissued at some point in the not too distant future. the shop that had them a while back: In Your Ear Records, Ltd. 286 Thayer Street Providence, RI. 02906 "In Your Ear Records, Ltd."
