Subject: EARWIG's "Underneath My Skin I Am Laughing" and "Past"

I just wanted to let you INSIDES fans out there know that their
previous band, EARWIG, is just as good if not better. I just got their
"Underneath My Skin I Am Laughing" cd and it's incredible.  Kirsty has
the same soft-spoken vocals which shock you with their evilness (if
only because they are so soft-spoken). There may be a bit more guitar
and a bit less keyboards, but as far as I'm concerned, it seems more
appropriate. It allows them to get a bit more harsh and percussive,
which adds to the contrast. My only complaint with INSIDES is that it
can sound a bit samey (though I like that same sound), and this
complaint does not apply to EARWIG. Definately worth checking out!

By the way, "Underneath My Skin I Am Laughing" is available in the US
on La-Di-Da. Has anyone found their cd compilation of eps called
"Past"? I'm dying to get it!
