Jack - Biography Of A First Son (Too Pure 7")
I saw a review in Melody Maker comparing Jack to Tindersticks, so in blissful
ignorance I bought this - it was only 99p. It doesn't really sound much like
Tindersticks - even at their most uptempo, they don't sound as rock 'n' roll as
this. It's pretty short and sweet, - almost like Gallon Drunk with strings. I
like it though. In fact it wouldn't sound out of place on Mick Harvey's album of
Gainsbourg covers.
