They don't fool around with effects or samples or even harmonies, but their arrangements make inventive use of all the instruments - it's no wonder that the writing credits go to "Minxus". The lyrics sung by the bassist are confrontational, but you won't mind because her belting is seductive, if bombastic. On the other hand, if a gravel driveway could sing, it would probably sound like the guitarist. Honestly, it wouldn't take too long to get tired of either one, but the sequencing wisely has no more than three by the same singer in a row (with a few instrumentals thrown in as well), so their unique singing styles are a net plus. By the way, don't judge them by the track "Steal, Steal, Steal" on Pabulum are significantly better, IMHO. In fact, I think that compilation is a poor introduction to Too Pure, overall.
