Portishead release the second single off their second album - 'Over'.
Besides the title track there are two bonus tracks taken from the NYC premier
show earlier this year. The tracks are 'Half Day Closing' and 'Humming', both
accompanied by a 30 piece string orchestra which gives the already haunted
tunes another layer of beauty. Beth's vocals are better on the studio versions,
and the scratching could have been left aside, but all in all - a great single
from a great album of a great band.

Portishead "Over" - still haven't bought the album, so this was new
to me, but couldn't they come up with something better than one CD
single with an album track, remix and instrumental version and
another with the same album track and two live songs? I prefer this
to "Cowboys" or "All Mine".
