What can I say? If you love "Soft City", you'll love the album. Are you familiar with their first album, _Julie Only_? (Actually a rerecording of their first album). It's very much in the same vein. Seely sound much to me like Mariel Barham (Pale Saints) fronting early (Peng! era?) Stereolab. Stereolab. I don't see the Meriel Barham connection at all...if anything, Seely's male singer (Steven Satterfield) sounds a lot like Ian Masters (also of Pale Saints). But yes, Seely are a terrific band...one of my favorites these days, easily. There are lots of reviews and other Seely stuff (including a really cool band questionnaire) on Kyle Purer's site, Exploring the Planets, which can be found here: http://pegasus.cc.ucf.edu/~ktp52952/seely/seely.htm
