Nevertheless, Paula is looking for an indie company to release her new solo stuff. Already one label is eyeing her quite heavily. Her new stuff is exquisite and, dare I say it, stronger than Tarnation (much darker too). So, fear not, we will hear from Paula once more. I will keep everyone posted further. Also, check out her work with the Czars on the new Bella Union release. I was told that she was just tired of Tarnation's ever-changing lineup and decided that, since she was between labels, it would be a good time for her to just start going by "Paula Frazer". The only thing that has been lost is just a name, so I don't see why anyone's lamenting this. I think Jamie Meagan may still be working with her as well. It was always her show anyways, so what's the big deal? If anything, it's extremely good news that she's recorded with the Czars and is being courted by a new a label. She's an extremely talented lady and it still mystifies me as to why 4ad ever dropped her. If you ask me, it's their loss.
