Some TC news THIEVERY CORPORATION's Rob Garza lost numerous recordings needed for the band's second album as he was held up at gunpoint on the weekend. Garza had been leaving his girlfriend's flat in Washington DC when the incident took place. The result of the robbery is that the post-acid house duo's second album will now be pushed back to September. Garza said: "Not the best weekend ever! It's unfortunate that nobody will ever hear our remix of 'Riverdance' featuring Ol' Dirty Bastard!" Despite Thievery Corporation's loss, work on the new album goes on "unabated" and they are also putting the finishing touches on the remix album 'Aductions and Reconstructions' which includes their remixes of David Byrne, Rockers Hi Fi and others. The band's debut LP 'Sounds From The Thievery Hi Fi' was released by 4AD last year.
