All day i've built a lifetime and now the sun sinks to undo it. The horizon bleeds and sucks it's thumb. The little red thumb goes out of sight. And i wonder about this lifetime with myself, this dream i'm living. I could eat the sky like an apple but i'd rather ask the first star: why am i here? why do i live in this house? who's responsible? eh? think filigree & shadow.... me thinks mr. watts-russell is a fond admirer of anne's...which, despite the recent lackluster signings {ok, tarnation aren't lackluster, but these are certainly not the glory days of 4ad}, makes me like and respect the big guy still. "acid, bitter and sad" is made up entirely of anne sexton quotes from various poems {these have been posted before}. in fact, in reading the other night, i stumbled across a poem with another TMC connection... rather fitting, TMC and anne sexton. they go together so very well... consider the lilies, *k* ...gonna fly so far, gonna kiss that star...
