Windy & Carl/Amp split CD...and much to my dismay, there appears to be a glitch in it. It occurs at about 1:30 into the first track (W&C's "Near And Far"), and sounds sort of like a muffled skip. My cheap-ass CD player skips all the time, so I didn't think anything of it at first...but after the second or third listening, I realized it was happening in the same place every time. Is it just mine, or has anyone else noticed it in their copy? The music is nice, though. "Near And Far" is pretty much what I've come to expect from Windy & Carl. If I still had my guitar and my Quadraverb, I could make music like that in my sleep...but with them around, I don't have to. The two Amp tracks ("Reminiscence 1" and "Reminiscence 2") are my first exposure to them. They aren't particularly groundbreaking, either, but they make for very nice listening. All in all, the CD is well worth the fiver I paid for it. ---Jeremy Date: Wed, 3 Jun 1998 11:26:35 -0700 From: Jens Alfke Subject: Re: blue flea 09 Jeremy L Orr (j.orr@JUNO.COM) wrote: >Earlier today, I received my copy of the new (?) While not terribly innovative, even within the bounds of their particular style, it's a very pretty song with a nice melody and melancholy mood. Probably one of their most "accessible" (I hate that word) pieces. I've been listening to it a lot.
