Date: Sun, 26 Jul 1998 15:56:53 +0200 From: "Oreste [iso-8859-1] Felicità" Subject: Hyperium Hypnobeat Records inclusion in the 4AD-L Faq I've taken another look at the great 4AD-L faq and noted that strangely there is no mention of an interesting record label (sited in Germany) who has released some very thislisty suff very influenced by 4AD and ambient-electronic music with many female voices, called 'Hyperium' which has another subsidiary label ('Hypnobeat'). Probably you know these labels quite well...but if you don't...check out soon their web site at: http://www.hyperium-rec.com/ They have some Real Audio samples on this (quite informative but not completely english translated) internet site. You should consider to include reference in the faq (internet section)! The label residence is at: HYPERIUM - HYPNOBEAT REC. Could you ask the list about some new Hyperium stuff reviews? (please forward the answers to me at: felicita@csr.unibo.it) I think it has a quite good reputation mainly in Europe. Some releases seem too much 4AD influenced (that's only a marginal complain! I love 4AD) but some aestetics are some kind original, anyway don't expect nothing much experimental or unique. Their compilations (Heavenly Voices and Heavenly Grooves) are a good start! Two of the label last releases are Hyperium New Classics and Heavenly Grooves 2...i've read positive reviews about them... but not listened to these yet...
