      Subject: Paula Frazer 7" and new Kranky CD

I saw a few things during my radio show that might interest someone.

The most recent kranky cd is a self-titled release from Flies Inside the Sun, a
band from New Zealand (maybe Australia, I forget now.) The band includes some
guitar, bowed guitar, synth, bass, and drums. The track I heard was pretty
abstract, with percussive interjections, but generally quiet and sparse.

I played one track from the Bowery Electric cd, also on kranky, which was
pretty good; very slow washes of sound. I'll have to go back and listen to
these again. The worst part about doing a radio show is that you can't really
pay attention to the music.
