Moon Seven Times was a Bigg effort as were most of the Fields of the Nephilim (one of these even sports some Beverly Carruther's pics) and In the Nursery records. He'd also done sleeves for Pierce Turner and Felt's Guthrie-produced record (something with 'Cannons' in the title...a very elegant sleeve). Can anyone else think of more Bigg stuff? Before shacking up with V., he'd worked with Rob O'Connor's Stylorouge (check out their website BTW http://www.stylorouge.co.uk/). And again...will someone in the know clue me in as to whether our man Bigg was responsible for Peter Murphy's 'Deep' sleeves. The inside credits Peter Murphy, BUT it absolutely reeks of Chris Bigg. It's much too skillful of a rip-off for Mr. Murphy to pull of I would think. Someone's got to know this!!! I'm just not satisfied with the answers I've been given!!! I want to know that I am right!!! I demand satisfaction!!! Patwkos To: 4ad-l@state51.co.uk Subject: v23 I don't know if anyone is interested in this, but I spotted one non-4ad record with a v23 sleeve. It is 'Skin', released in 1992 on Elektra by the soul artist Ephraim Lewis, who died on an accident in 1994 after having released only this record. It is a good record, low-profile and sleazy. It released 3 singles 'It Can't Be Forever', 'Drowning In Your Eyes' and 'World Between Us'. The cover was made by Vaughan Oliver and it is a picture of Lewis slightly out of focus. It doesn't really show it is a v23 sleeve. (do i mean sunderland or do i mean southampton? a quick look at the relative homepages shows no signs of any recent cup finals featuring either team. um this post is low on details. anyway, there was a football club single out in the last 5 years that had a vaughan oliver sleeve.)
