World: Europe: Britain: England: London: Charing Cross Hospital

A hospital on the Strand near Charing Cross; it serves as the medical school for London University.


HOUN: Holmes correctly deduced that Dr. Mortimer had once worked at Charing Cross Hospital, based upon the doctor's Penang lawyer walking stick.


ILLU: The attack on Holmes occurred in Regent Street, outside the Cafe Royal. Holmes was carried to Charing Cross Hospital, and afterwards insisted upon being taken to his rooms in Baker Street.
