STUD: Hope stole some South American arrow poison from the laboratory at York College.


HOUN: Barrymore assured Sir Henry that Selden (aka the Notting Hill murderer) would never trouble anyone in Britain again because "in a few days the necessary arrangements will ahve been made and he will be on his way to South America."

HOUN: Stapleton was in fact the son of Rodger Baskerville, who may have in fact fled to South America, rather than Central America.


SUSS: Robert Ferguson's wife was from Peru. Their South American household, with native weapons on the wall, clued Holmes in to the solution of the mystery.
